We went on a family vacation during Christmas holiday. We booked a one room suite but after booking it I started wondering where were we going to do the deed. LOL. The only option is the bathroom but that is not my ideal place.  Let's just say that the next time we book a trip we are going to get a 2 room suite. There's nothing like hearing a toddler banging on the door and screaming "Mommy! No More Embarrassing Odors After You Go Potty

As I was listening to the radio this morning, the host began talking about this product called "Just a Drop".  This product is suppose to eliminate embarrassing odors when you poop in the potty. You can tell by the terms I use I have young kids in potty training stages. Lol.  Well anyways, the product ad says that if you put just a drop of this into the toilet before you go there won't be any odors.  The people on the talk show says it works.  I think I'm going to try it for myself. Another toddler named Ayla Reynolds was reported missing Saturday morning by her father. Little Ayla Reynolds is only 20 months old and was last seen Friday night in her bed. Is it safe to post kids pics on Facebook?

Since the emergence of Facebook and other social networking sites, parents and experts have been arguing over whether children's pics are safe online.I personally choose not to post pictures of my children on the Internet let alone Facebook. I'm probably being overdramatic but there are some hidden dangers when posting your childrens pictures on any social networking site. I'm concerned about pedophiles,kidnappers and someone using their photo without my permission. People usually post detail information about their lives and their children such as birth dates, where they live and full names etc. That's a lot of valuable information to a criminal. In fact, now days someone can find you through your geotag. Geotagging is marking a picture, video or other media with your location and date and time. Your geotag will give anyone that is looking all the information they need to find you. Every smart phone has GPS built into it so be careful when posting pics taken with your phone.

There are more realistic dangers parents don't usually consider when posting family pics. People including pedophiles can easily find your pics and use them for their own purposes. Sometimes it can be as harmless as a business using your picture in an advertisement but other times it can be much worse.

If you feel uncomfortable about posting your children's pictures online you can make sure your profile and pics aren't public on social networking sites and/or add a digital watermark to your photo.

No Talent Kardashians!

As I was listening to the radio on my way to work, they start talking about an interview Barbara Walters had with the Kardashians.  What is boils down to is that Barbara bluntly told Kim she doesn't have any talent. Well it is true and they didn't try to deny it.  I think it is amazing that people can become rich because they are beautiful or have a lot of junk in the trunk. LOL. That brings up another good point. Why if Kim's body in particular such a big deal? Don't get me wrong, she has a great body but black women have always have big booties. LOL. Big booties weren't seen as beautiful until J. Lo came on the scene. Anyways, let me get back to the point of this post.  The Kardashians are famous reality stars. How did she become famous anyway? Was it because of her sex tape with Ray J? If you were given the opportunity, would you want to become a famous reality star like the Kardashians?  Would you prefer to be famous and rich for being a reality star, a business woman or an actress? If given the choice I think I would prefer to become famous and rich for using my brain as a business woman.

I have done research on the link between antiperspirants deodorants and breast cancer.  While researchers can't say for sure that deodorants cause breast cancer, they will say that results show that underarm shaving with the use of antiperspirants/deodorants may be related to breast cancer. You better think twice about eating raw cooking dough.  According to the CDC, eating it caused 77 people in 30 states to become ill. The cause of the illness is E COLI contamination at the manufacturing plants.  These findings resulted in the recall of 3.6 million packages of cookie dough. My advice to you all is to be very careful this holiday season when baking your holiday cookies.

I love Kellogg's Special K Fruit Crisps

I am in the process of losing weight by lower my calorie intake.  I do this by choosing low calories snacks and meals.  Things are going great so far.  I have lost 6 lbs in 3 weeks.  Well one of my new healthy snacks is Kellogg's Special K Fruit Crisps. How do you and your boyfriend/hubby like to sleep together?

As you probably already know my husband and I have 3 little boys.  At some point during the night 1 or all the boys end up in the bed with us.  Our youngest is in between us right now. Since we cant cuddle like we used to before kids, we have gotton into the habit of going to sleep with our legs touching or on top of each other. We now like to sleep like this even when we have the bed to ourselves. I thought this was just our unique way of sleeping but according to experts sleeping in the leg loop means that we have a comfortable connection. I must really be old now

i must really be old now. My husband and I were at party city buying decorations for our youngest son 1st bday party.  While we were there we heard two teenagers talking about a blackout party they were throwing. We were trying not to listen to them as they were talking but couldnt help it.  They were speaking loud enough for everyone in the store to hear.   My husband and I never heard of a blackout party. Well apparently a blackout party isnt something a 13 year old girl should be throwing.  All the cashiers were talking about how slutty these young girls were acting.  Well they were saying some vulgar things. Right at that moment I was glad I don't have any girls. Dont get me wrong, Im not looking down on them at all. I was probably worse at that age. As soon as I got in the car I googled "blackout party". Well it is a party with no lights so they can get as freaky as they want with different people. This type of party is more exciting that any other party because you dont know who you are touching or who is touching you. Would you ladies let your young teenagers have a blackout party? What is the worst thing you did as a teenager?

I was surfing the net and came across an article about Kourtney Kardashian expecting her second baby with her boyfriend Scott Disick. Let me first say congratulations to her and her family. As I was reading the article I started thinking about how many celebrities have a great relationship or marriage. I thought about Will and Jada Smith right away even though Jada was rumored to have been with Mark Anthony. They were the only couple that came to mind. French Toddler Dies after Being Locked Inside Washing Machine

This is terrible! A French 3 year old little boy died after been locked inside a washing machine. This is just awful.  His father was arrested for the crime last Friday. According to the news story the little boy was being punished for flushing a classmate's drawing down the toilet. The mother is also being charged for not preventing a crime and not assisting a person in danger.  According to the toddler's 5 year old sister, this isn't the first time this has happened. My question is, how could his mother let this happen?  She is suppose to protect her little boy.

Are Kindergartens Too Fat???

I read an article about today's kindergartens being heavier than kindergartens in the 1970s and 1980s.  I was a little surprised to read this but just a little.  The reason is because many parents choose to feed their kids convenience foods such as MacDonald's instead of a home cook meal.  Don't get me wrong, I am not saying I never give my kids fast food but I give it to them in moderation.  I am also mindful of portion sizes when I give my kids this type of food.  I think a lot of people today don't realize the amount of calories that go into a value meal at a fast food restaurant.  Heck, one value meal can be 1,900 calories. That's insane! Parents are also feeding their kids way too much junk food. Like I said before, moderation is the key along with incorporating more fruits and veggies into your kids diet.  

Since many adults today have bad eating habits and are overweight then it is not surprising that our kids are becoming heavier than kids their age 40 years ago.

BPA in canned food

As a mother of 3 young children, I am concerned about the food they eat and any potential side effects. This is why I was so alarmed when I came across an article stating that  BPA(bisphenol A) can be found in the lining of canned food and beverages. In case you aren't familiar with the BPA, it  is an industrial chemical used to make certain plastics. I first became familiar with it after having my 2nd baby when bottle makers began making bottles BPA free. According to researchers, BPA can seep into the food in canned goods. It has been linked with diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular disease in humans and has been shown to interfere with reproductive development in animals.

So if BPA is in canned goods then I now have to minimize the amout of canned goods my family consumes. Heck, we just had Progressive soup last night for dinner.  I probably would have been better off getting processed burgers and fries from McDonalds. Lol.  According to a Harvard study, urine samples from a test group of people who ate 1 can of soup for 5 days had more than a 1,200 percent increase in BPA.  There are still debates on the harmful effects of BPA but in the meantime I choose to stay away from it as much a possible.

Cursing Baby Doll

The hot topic with a lot of moms is a Toys R Us baby doll named “You & Me Interactive Play & Giggle Triplet Dolls”. It looks and acts like a baby doll until it says B****! According to Toys R Us, the doll is just speaking baby talk. They are standing behind their product and refuse to remove it from the shelves. Click on the link below and decide for yourself if the doll is saying B****. There are a lot of parents out there outraged about the doll but I say just don’t buy it. I do think Toys R Us should pull the doll from the shelves but you have to think about it from a business perspective. If this company has a huge inventory of this item then they can stand to lose a whole lot of money by pulling it from the shelves because of some people’s interpertations of what the doll is saying. Like I said, if you think the doll is saying B**** then just dont buy it. There are a lot worse things to worry and stress about in the world than a cursing doll.
